Acrylic base for the 3D Antarctica

Easy to install acrylic base for the 3D Antarctica for the wooden world maps. It follows the wooden Antarctica contours. The base is mounted using the included metal stands and raises the map from the wall by about 14mm (0.55in). The final effect is an even more intricate 3D effect.

Clear transparent plexiglass is standard. Upon request we are able to supply various other colour options (black, opal, semi-transparent, etc.).
How to mount the acrylic plexiglass on a wall?
The stainless steel stands are mounted to the wall using the included screws (or other specialised hardware depending on your wall type). Precise location of holes for the stand can be marked using the plexiglass itself - which acts as a template. The plexiglass is then mounted on top of the installed stand supports. Remove the protective film from both sides of the plexiglass before installation. The stands have removable endcaps with threaded screws. You can then attach the wooden map pieces to the plexiglass using a double-sided tape.
