How to Choose and Fit Your Pack
Step 1: Measure Your Back Length
Use a tape measure to find the distance from your C7 vertebra (the bony part at the base of your neck) to your iliac crest (the top of your hips). This helps ensure the best fit for comfort and stability.
Step 2: Adjust the Pack to Your Body
- Load the backpack with weight similar to what you'll carry.
- Loosen all straps and put the pack on.
- Adjust the hip belt so it sits snugly, with most of the weight on your hips.
- Tighten the shoulder straps to pull the pack towards your body.
- Use the load lifter straps to balance the pack’s weight without lifting it off your hips.
- Attach the sternum strap for added stability.
